CARP Nigeria had a one day seminar on the Introduction of Divine Principle at the Abuja University Campus Gwagwalada Nigeria.  The focus of the seminar was to introduce CARP to the campus students and promote the organization and its benefits. CARP has been active in the campus already hosting several one day seminars like this, three days and seven days seminars at their main local center a few kilometers from the mini campus in Gwagwalada, Nigeria. However, this event had special international guest, a couple from Germany and America-Stephan and Diana Winter, that made the crowd especially excited as well as help the Nigerian CARP members feel proud of their organization through its international network.

Joseph, CARP Nigeria President, was the MC of the event and gave a short introduction of the Divine Principle. His team were very friendly and supported Joseph every step of the way. Their unity helped make the event, which started with a small gathering, grow into a larger group than expected. Attendees were Muslims, Christians and Agnostic.

Stephan and Diana Winter, an international couple working with Universal Peace Federation here in Nigeria, came to address the struggle to find purpose and happiness in our lives, and how CARP can help them to achieve our ideal based on universal principles that produce good knowledge, habits and actions that help them take the right steps to become global leaders of peace. They asked plenty of questions to the students about their own experiences here in Nigeria and their struggles to experience love and happiness within themselves, their relationships, families and their school.

Participants shared in groups reflecting on the lecture given by Joseph, the CARP President of Nigeria, and had representatives share their reflections. It was a great moment of discovering the minds and hearts of the students to further guide them in future meetings.

At the end of the seminar snacks were offered and participants filled our forms inviting them to attend a 3 day seminar following this one day seminar at a later date. Students expressed their needs for this kind of organization in their school as well as personal interests. One student approached a CARP staff requesting for internal guidance on dealing with his depression. He expressed his discomfort with his friends and the environment he lives in which contributes to his depression. He hopes that by being apart of CARP Nigeria, his life can improve.

This is just one example of how students need the hope and guidance CARP has to offer to Nigeria from the guidance, care, love and support of our beloved True Mother. CARP Nigeria president and his staff are determined to reach more students within the school brake and double their efforts by the time school starts back up in August.
